Today in this post I am going to tell you about my trip during Summer Break!
July 7, 2011~ The Cumberland Falls
We left the house early that morning! Me and my brothers not knowing exactly what our first stop on this trip! The rest we pretty much knew about! About 3/4 of the way up there we figured it out by reading the signs! We were going to the Cumberland Falls!! On the way there I didnt think it would be that fun until we finally got there! They had these steps that you could go down and you could walk right beside the river leading to the Falls! It was gorgeous! I took a TON of pictures of the river! There was also loike a huge flat rock lookin thing that you could stand on and you could stand right next to the river! I stood like an inch away from the water! And you could have got into the river, there was nothing there to stop you from it, but there was security guards above watching to make sure no one actually got into the river! Then we came to the Falls! It was spectacular! There was a really pretty rainbow right infront of the Falls! It was like a perfect picture! (I also took like another ton of pictures of the Falls!) It was so beautiful! Then they had this huge random rock just sitting in the middle of the park! I mean it was Huge! (Not your average gravel!) Then we went to the gift shop and bought an Ale 8 1 and then we left!
July 7, 2011~ Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Also that same day we went to Gatlinburg ,Tennessee! We found us a motel and we rested a while! (I didnt I dont like naps!) Then after everyone got finished resting we walked up to the shops! (Our hotel was close enough so we could walk!) We went through like this huge mall with like at least five floors, it could of had more! Each floor had like a water fountain that you could throw change in! They had a lot of stuff in there! A LOT! Then we went on and looked through some other stores! On our way back on the other side of the street we went to one of my favorite parts that day! We went to Cooter's Garage! Which is like a museum for the Dukes of Hazzard! It was awesome! They had Cooter's clothes, pictures of them all together! thy even had like the old cash register and some of the cement blocks from the Bour's Nest! And of course they had the General Lee there! They even had newspapers from the actual town where the shows were made! and of course i took a lot more pics! I love that show but it never comes on anymore so thats why i took so many pictures there! and it was just awsesome to begin with! Then we went to the motel and ate!
July 8, 2011~ The Smokies And North Carolina
The next day we went up on the smokies it was really pretty up there because you get to see for miles and miles! At the very top of the mountains they have this dome looking thing that you can stand on top of and take pictures of the mountains! They also have these weird bathroom things! The stalls are really short and you can see over top of them! (AKWARD!!) Then we crossed the Tennessee, North Carolina Line and we went into Cherokee, North Carolina! We took a tour of this really old Indian Farm! It was cool causewe got to see a little bit of the way the Indians lived! There was even chickens running around! And they had a hog pen! (gosh! u talkin about smellin!) Then we went into the tourist place to wash oiur hands and i didnt even know how to work the sink! I had to watch some other lady to learn howto use it! (embarrassing!) I got to see a real Indian Guy in the parking lot and he was wearing this weird lookin outfit! Then we left and drove around in the town for a little while! Then we headed back to TN. We stopped and bought a T-shirt and we headed back home to Kentucky! On our way home we stopped in at Somerset to eat at Mr.Gatti's! And then finally it was home sweet home! (I got to see my kittens and my dog again!) Aww! HOME
